To submissively admit one's fault or make an apolgy. Umble pie comes from an old Norman word for offal. This 'low quality' staple was given to the 'humble' servants. Hence the possible word play of eating umble pie when feeling humble.Hand made
Each plate is unique due to the nature of hand making and the unpredictability of the kiln firing. They are sturdy, functional and dishwasher proof and sometimes display characteristic minor imperfections.
