To Pour Cold Water Jug

To pour cold water over something – the term originally meant to defame or slander but the modern meaning – to be unenthusiastic or discourage. Dates from about 1800.

Our jugs are hand made from stoneware clay decorated using coloured slips and a paper resist technique.

Each jug is unique due to the nature of hand making and the unpredictability of the kiln firing. They are sturdy, functional and dishwasher proof and sometimes display characteristic minor imperfections.
