'Swirling Blue Pond'

Disclaimer - This plate has a small non-glazed speck (I attempted to re-glaze it in the kiln but for some reason this one little dot refused to accept the glaze!) Because of this I have reduced the price.

Made from stoneware clay and painted with a range of blue slips and vibrant underglazes, I wanted to capture the dynamic movement of Koi carp in a way that almost makes them appear to swim across the surface. Enjoy it as a decorative object or as a side plate. It is food and dishwasher safe.

The handcrafted nature and the unpredictable kiln firing process contribute to the creation of distinct pieces. They sometimes display characteristic minor imperfections.
